Danny Tisdale is one of the ten artists selected to participate in THE FUTURE OF THE PRESENT 2000 The live art on the Internet series presented by FRANKLIN FURNACE, in collaboration with Parsons School of Design, Digital Design Department and the NetArt Initiative.

15MINUTES is a talk show that considers art to be a central part of life instead of a frill. 15MINUTES blends elements of mass media culture with contemporary art discourse. It's a mix of Interview magazine, Joseph Beuys, MTV and Live at the Apollo!

15MINUTES will bring art ideas, concepts, and discourse directly to a local and international audience. It follows a long tradition of artists creating public and private art, to address what John Malpede, Director of Los Angeles Poverty Department (LAPD) calls "addressing the audience where they are, while addressing the conventions of art practice and pop culture, creating alternative strategies and interventions in the production of public art." In the true spirit of television, commercials will run every 15 minutes, as transition points between segments. Danny Tisdale's previous work includes Transitions Inc., Last African American, An Artist for a Change, and upcoming Artist and Communities Millennium Project with the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He has been an artist as legislator, City Council candidate; Block Association President and creator of the Harlem Uptown Arts District; and Community Board Member and Independent Party State Representative and Convention Delegate for Harlem.
