"Wild Style" director Charlie Ahearn's account of his youth in "Fear of Fiction" is a supernatural tale in which nothing is invented. Starring Melissa Leo (Homicide) and Sam Trammell, this odd couple cross country fling detours inexorably towards a confrontation with abandoned twins and embittered family ghosts.

60's garage music played by the mythic band "The Fabulous Failures" (Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth and Evan Lurie of the Lounge Lizards) lends a creepy narration to this tale of forgotten phantoms.

A hyperbolic garage band fanatic (Penn Jillette), pot smoking Jesus girls and a never-was rock star with gills (David Wheir), fuel the uncanny forces pulling us to an unpredictable resolution at the lake.
