Laurie Anderson, FF Alumn, hosts Art 21 on PBS, Thurs. Jan 17, 2002.
The national re-broadcast for "Art:21 - Art in the Twenty-First Century" will start this Thursday, January 17th at 10pm ET. "Art:21" is the first broadcast series for national public television to focus exclusively on contemporary visual art and artists in the United States today. The show was pre-empted on many stations for crisiscoverage in September, so this is your chance to catch the series Esquire magazine called "the most interesting art-made-accessible show we've seen so far!"
The first episode
is "Place," introduced by host Laurie Anderson, and featuring contemporary
artists Richard Serra, Sally Mann, Margaret Kilgallen, Barry McGee, and Pepon
Osorio. You should check your local listings to be sure your PBS station is
carrying the show (just enter your zip code in the Station Finder at http://www.pbs.org/art21/series/calendar.html).
We hope you watch!
