The exhibition Hybrid Instruments will run April 12 through May 1, 2002, and will feature collages and over sixty sculptures by Ken Butler

Artist and musician Ken Butler will be the focus of both an exhibition and music performance series at The Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art. As well as the exhibition, Butler will also be the focus of Voices of Anxious Objects, a two-part music performance series. Special guest musicians will perform with Butler at 8 pm on April 19 and April 26 against the dramatic backdrop of Butler's sculptures. Tickets for each concert are $10 for members and $15 for non-members.
Stomu Takeishi, fretless electric bassist, has recorded and performed with Dave Tronzo, Paul Motion, Mick Goodrich, Badal Roy, Don Cherry, Randy Brecker, Dave Liebman, Henry Threadgill, and Eric Friedlander. Seido Salifoski, percussionist, has performed for the Macedonian, Rom, Bosnian, Albanian, Turkish, and Armenian communities for 20 years and tours Europe with his current group The Paradox Trio.
Marie Afonso, singer, Grammy Award nominated as a member of Zap Mama, has also performed with Baden Powell, the father of Brazilian bossa nova, Brandon Ross, Al Jarreau, Jaron Lanier, Karsh Kale, and Rufus Cappadocia.
