Fueled by newfound patriotism, and the usual liberal dose of vaudevillian schmaltz, Murray Hill, the self-proclaimed "hardest working middle-aged man in show business," will bring his star-spangled holiday variety show to Fez in New York City for three nights.
Hill's variety show features a unabashedly chaotic mix of harebrained slapstick comedy, song and dance, all served up by a whacked-out line-up of downtown's top acts and, of course, a bevy of lovely ladies. There'll also be a very special visit from Murray's high school pal Santa Claus.
Stars will include: queerer than a three-dollar bill, Scotty The Blue Bunny; the incomparable world famous *BOB*; the kids who make Solid Gold dancers look like senior citizens at the Rainbow Room, The Dazzle Dancers; fresh from the Vegas strip, the groovy Pontani Sisters; the man who has fingered more keys than a locksmith, Paul Leschen; and, after months of drinking gingko biloba shakes and watching Dr. Phil on Oprah, the girls who've made more comebacks than Aerosmith, the Murrayettes.
Hill's blend of irreverent humor, his troupe's beautiful women and good-looking gay boys with pecs the size of Jimmy Dean sausage patties are the perfect antidote for your pre-holiday anthrax jitters or whatever else ails you in these troubled times. So come along, and have a laugh. And Murray's usually so blasted, he never really knows you're laughing at him, and not with him.
