The National Association of Artists’ Organizations (NAAO) announces its 12th National Conference -- OPEN SOURCE: Networking Artists and Artists’ Organizations to be held June 22 - 25, 2000 in DUMBO Brooklyn, NY.
OPEN SOURCE embodies the spirit of NAAO and its 300+ national members and celebrates the open process that facilitates artistic vision, empowers talent, creates audiences and articulates cultural value. Beginning Thursday night and ending Sunday, OPEN SOURCE will look at how the economies of information are effecting the art world, current forms of art activism, "Do It Yourself" art strategies, new technologies, tipping points and more.

- Source Code, a series of panel presentations and breakout sessions. Speakers include Malcolm Gladwell, author of The Tipping Point; RTMark, Josephine Ramirez, Getty Grant Program, LA; Third Eye Movement; David Goldberg; Hamza Walker, Renaissance Society, Chicago and more.
- Hot Stuff. Five programs designed to showcase hundreds of artists and organizations dedicated to artist-centered culture.
