This is the psychology of skin. Scars, race, shedding, and a nipple accidentally exposed on the D train, however the possibility exists that was the Q. Performers: Darleen Hall, Jasmine Presson, Shoshana Ami, Liat Ron, Jamila K. Gaskins, and Alissa James.

Seven Layers of Skin is a collaboratively created performance by women exploring the physical and emotional phenomena of skin. Through candid conversation with the audience, stylized movement, dance and song, the characters and audience journey together through the wonder and pain, the personal and collective memory held in our skin. Issues explored include shedding, scars, skin's capacity for memory, race, self-cutting, skin creams, and the eternal search for touch, for love.

Contributing writers also include Darleen Hall, founder of Spit East, an all-grrl open mic in NYC; Shoshana Ami, Ronit Lee, Jamila K. Gaskins (Beautiful Like the Moon and Looking Back), Alissa James, Liat Ron, Nina Zavarin and Jasmine Presson.
